Our information sessions and seminars are the entry point for our program. It will be necessary to attend one of these sessions prior to your consultation with the surgeons and BSC Dallas. You can use our website to make a reservation for an upcoming information session. Read below about our seminar options and select the session that best meets your needs. At the bottom of the page you may click to access the registration page to send your request over our secure connection. We will be notified of your preference; we will make the appropriate appointment for you, and send you confirmation via email or by phone with further directions and instructions.

We offer seminar and consultation sessions during regular business hours on a weekly basis. See below for the dates of the next available sessions. The consultation sessions take place on Tuesday and Friday afternoons, and will involve:

1. Information session on weight loss surgery, specifics about gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and LAP-BANDŽ Adjustable Gastric Banding System surgery, the BSC Dallas programs for support, and discussion with a successful post-op patient about their experience.
2. Consultation with the surgeon addressing your specific medical needs and surgery options.
3. Consultation with the staff concerning insurance verification and pre-surgery testing.

The session will begin at 12:00 noon and will take most of the afternoon. Cost for the session is your specialist visit co-pay, dependent upon your insurance plan. Please arrive at our office at 11:30 to fill out paperwork prior to seminar. Thank you!

Seminars are also held in the evenings, on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm. These sessions will involve:

1. Information about weight loss surgery, specifics about gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and LAP-BANDŽ Adjustable Gastric Banding System surgery, the BSC Dallas programs for support, and discussion with a successful post-op patient about their experience.
2. Opportunity to schedule a consultation visit with the surgeon to take place during regular business hours at your convenience. The consultation will be necessary before any further work can be done about scheduling surgery.

The seminar will be free of charge, and parking will be validated.

Greenville, Texas Option

We are also offering an option for interested patients to learn about weight loss surgery without having to drive all the way to Dallas for the seminar. Come to Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville and meet with our Program Director to discuss the basics of weight loss surgery and how it can change your life! You also have the opportunity to attend a support group with post-op patients and find out first hand how surgery has impacted their lives. You will be given the opportunity to schedule an appointment during regular business hours with the surgeon after attending this session (at our offices in Dallas). Meeting location is in the second floor conference room, just off of the lobby elevators. Meeting time is 6:30 pm.

We will process your information and reserve a seat for you at the information session you are requesting. An e-mail confirmation will be sent two to three days prior to your information session with directions and paperwork to fill out.
