Our Care Team

Dr. James A. Davidson, M.D., F.A.C.S, is the Bariatric Director of Presbyterian Hospital and performs the weight loss surgeries for BSC Dallas patients. Dr. Davidson has been voted “Top Doc” by D Magazinefor 20 years in a row. In his spare time, Dr. Davidson enjoys mission work in Brazil and Christian outreach.

How is Dr. Davidson different from other Bariatric surgeons?

Dr. Davidson has a great depth of experience. He has practiced general and vascular surgery for 36 years. He completed a one year vascular fellowship after practicing surgery in the US army for 2 and 1/2 years. His surgery has been focused on laparoscopic metabolic and Bariatric surgery for the past 9 years.

 

Our Programs

BSC Dallas provides multiple weight loss options -Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, LAP-BAND, Gastric Plication, and Revisional Surgery. Our bariatric surgery aftercare program includes support groups, diet education, and exercise programs. You’ll be with peers who have gone through or are now going through the same weight loss surgery recovery that you are.

Weight Loss Surgery Options

A few of the options offered by BSC Dallas are listed below.

BSC Dallas offers LAP-BAND® surgery at Forest Park Medical Center for $8,800. This price includes a hospital stay of one night, if medically needed. It also includes band adjustments for twelve months. This price is applicable for individuals who will self pay and not file insurance. Find out more.

BSC Dallas offers Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery at Forest Park Medical Center for $11,000. This price includes a hospital stay of two nights. This price is applicable for individuals who will be self pay and not file insurance. The price is for non-revision bariatric patients only. Find out more.

BSC Dallas offers Roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery at Forest Park Medical Center for $17,000. This price includes a hospital stay of two nights, anesthesia, and an assistant surgeon.
